I am a 20-year experienced nurse and Professional Development Specialists born in Mexico and raised in a small farming community near Bakersfield. As the current President of Sacramento NAHN, I am motivated to fulfill the mission of Sacramento NAHN while developing meaningful lasting partnerships, collaborations, and to improve the lives and health of our community members. To accomplish this, it takes a team of generous, enthusiastic, and dedicated nurses, students, and affiliate members. Join us in these efforts.

Dedicated, compassionate, and culturally sensitive dual-certified Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of healthcare experience spanning from cardiac nursing, primary care, and acute care roles. I am grateful for the diverse opportunities the nursing profession offers and remain committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. I am also passionate about teaching and mentoring, regularly educating patients, their caregivers, clinical colleagues, advanced practice students, and fellows on inpatient glycemic management. I enjoy hiking, wine tasting, cultural and arts festivals, volunteering, and mentoring.

I’m an acute care float pool RN at UCDMC. I love being a float pool nurse because every day brings new experiences. I get to care for different patient populations, learn from diverse teams, and constantly grow my clinical skills. Being a member of SAC NAHN has empowered me as a first-generation Latina nurse to lead, connect, and advocate for diversity in healthcare — because representation and community matter.
